I think the relaying problem has sorted itself out. I have just had this in
the logs and the domain now seems to be accepting mail.
Oct 17 13:33:23 www named[409]: approved AXFR from [194.159.254.213].62782
for "sbmgb.co.uk"
Oct 17 13:33:23 www named[409]: zone transfer (AXFR) of "sbmgb.co.uk" (IN)
to [194.159.254.213].62782
How can the domain be serving webpages (so nameservers must be ok) and not
mail until now?
An explanation of why this occurred would be welcome if you can shed any
light.
On the named.pid file front still no solution yet.
I think it's time for a long lunch!
Paul.
