[cobalt-users] the CPU has been heavily loaded - POP server

Hi

I keep getting these messages from my Cobalt RaQ4 and frequency is gone up.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Over the past fifteen minutes, the CPU has been heavily loaded.

This will result in noticible performace loss. Consider moving some of the
services to other Sun Cobalt servers, or reduce the complexity of the CGI
scripts running on the Sun Cobalt server itself.

1 minute load average: 7.85
5 minute load average: 8.35
15 minute load average: 7.19
------------------------------------------------------------------------

I used 'top' to see what's going on and realized that in.qpopper is the
culprit.

I guess the frequency my customers are polloing email people that too often.
I checked the Cobalt KB for a solution and here is what I found...

Can anyone come up with another alternative/solution?

Is there a way to configure the POP server to stop grabbing so much of CPU
power?

Help needed badly...

Thanks in advance

Regards
