Not that this has anything to do with Cobalt, but you're going to screw
a user big time that way when one of them is on vacation, uses Hotmail
or Yahoo to check their POP and leave the message on the server so they
can download it when they get home only to find you deleted an important
email.

We like our screw-em attitude. They have webmail, we don't support Yahoo, or Hotmail or anything else like that. If they want to use their own outside service they can. And we do speak to users first. If they listen, they can pick up their mail, if they don't, we take over. No BS, we run the ship.

I have always instructed users not to leave mail on the server and
simply check the spool once in a while to see if any users mail file is
huge. I then drop them a polite note to please be sure their email
program is not set to leave messages on the server. People sometimes
upgrade and forget to make that default with their new program.

You are too nice, if we treated our 125 users at one company like this our mailboxes would never be emptied. And, we found some never went to 0 length even when they checked their mail, so we openwebmail'ed it and *fixed* things for them.

Set a lower limit for file size in the GUI.

We have users from 5-200meg for various reasons, so it isn't always an option to make it smaller just to solve email issues, that is only one thing our servers do for the users.

I guess we are mean. Maybe it's why we only host our own stuff and a few select outside companies, that need careful watching :)
