My Colo ISP has no air conditioning, so my RaQ GUI always show CPU temperature in low 30's Celsius at night and high 30's in the afternoon. Your RaQ CPU in mid 40's seems a little high but acceptable. Maybe your COLO ISP room is in Texas or maybe too many servers packed together.
Actually there is all new AC units in place and the average temp in the facility is around 78F. So that part is good. Now the servers are in racks with glass doors on the front, but vented on the back, and there are 6 full size rack mount servers in the same rack ... next time I am there I will have to feel the temp in the rack itself, but high heat I think would have been obvious when I am there working. I am a little stumped on this.
Has anyone ever replace the heat sink on the CPU for one that has a fan built right on so you aren't relying just on the fan being next to the CPU?
Thanks, Jale
