I have never tested things in quite a manner to speak to what "breaks"
my rule of thumb has been simple.
Webmin does TONS of things that are simply informational, checking a
users mailbox or looking at the waiting sendmail queue, looking at
systems logs. Anything that makes no changes I have found to be
perfectly safe.
Beyond that when it comes to something that makes a change on the
system, if the cobalt ui has a function, then use it, not Webmin. That
means Adding/Removing sites, users, dns, e-mail aliases, etc.
If the cobalt ui does NOT have a function then I have found webmin to be
very helpful and safe. I use webmin to add cron jobs create/edit MySql
databases, delete large e-mail attachments for modem users and much
more. There is also a great webmin module called domain forward that I
use for redirecting a site to another location.
Just remember to use the cobalt ui first for anything it can do and you
should be OK.
