Hi Yah,
I've got a customer who has several accounts with us and up till now he's
never had problems with email.
He's told me that he can't receive any email from a specific domain and
he's using these people for his up and coming marketing campaign.
The customer has a catch-all address set up on his account which then
forwards email to his ISP account. We've tested the catch-all and it works
okay the problem only exists with this domain. We have also had email from
the emailfactory.com sent to his ISP account and they arrive okay...so that
rules his ISP dropping the mail.
From our logs this afternoon:-
Sep 23 15:46:27 ns sendmail[10396]: PAA10396:

Now I've flushed the firewall, checked IPChains in case they've been added
at some point for spamming or whatever, I've also checked the host.deny and
the sendmail Spam Control (access) settings for any trace of the IP address
above or the domain name...but nothing. I've also created a test account in
the customers domain and had them send an email to that POP3 account.
Nothing arrived, the DNS records for the customers account has the following...
a record domainname.co.nz
reverse on the IP
a record www.domainname.co.nz
a record mail.domainname.co.nz
mx record domainname.co.nz --> mail.domainname.co.nz
mx record www.domainname.co.nz --> mail.domainname.co.nz
I've checked the usual Blacklists etctera to see if Spamassassin was
dropping it before sending but nothing shows up...server has spamassassin
running.
Anyone any ideas - I've contacted the emailfactory.com to see if they have
had any returned email or bounced mail so I can see the headers
Many thanks in advance
Chae
