[cobalt-users] How to mirror one XTR to another?

We have a spare XTR we would like to have available as a swappable spare in
case the primary XTR goes down. The primary XTR is running with multiple
hard drives in RAID 5, and the spare has two disks in RAID 1. Therefore,
capacities differ.
I'm thinking I can add another two drives to the spare XTR and do an OS
restore, then configure it as RAID 5.
At that point, I'd like to plug the spare into the second Ethernet port on
the primary, and simply overwrite everything on the spare with an exact
mirror of the primary. After that, all I have to do is keep the web sites
and databases current to be able to cold swap the units.
My question: is this really a practical way to accomplish this? Would it be
easier to ghost the drives?
Thanks in advance for your comments.
