Let's back up a few steps.
1) download the gzip of the iso file to your computer
2) gunzip the iso. you should be left with file.iso
3) burn the iso to cd. specifics vary depending on what cd buring
software you have, but it's not as simple as copying it over.
an iso is a cd 'image' format, so your software will have to
take it as an input and generate the cd accordingly.
