I've recently noticed some httpd processes getting to a size of 160Mb+ in my top output. I've found several of these can accumulate, dragging system performance to it's knees.
I've only noticed this since installing MailScanner, but perhaps that's coincidence (as I've not seen the same issues on the RAQ3).
Anyway, my question for you group is in three parts:
1. has anyone else noticed this in connection with MailScanner?
2. is there a solution - either an apache config, mailscanner config or a cron script to monitor and kill -1 the PID causing the problem?
3. the RAM on this machine is at 384Mb already, and I'm looking to source some 256Mb RAM for the machine, plus some more RAQs (2 more at least) - any recommendations on these sources would be appreciated off-list (so's not to start any flame wars etc).
tia
