You could probably do with 256 but 512 would be better.

That is OT for this forum. See http://www.webhostingtalk.com/ IIRC, they
have a Cobalt forum. Everyone on the list who isn't a host or Cobalt
seller has their own favorites. It's way too subjective. Some list
members are hosts and rent RaQs or sell collocation and it could become
a spam fest with everyone touting their wares on the list.
