Site management cant find sites (was: Re: [cobalt-users] admserv broken in crash. How do I restore it?)

A crash in the middle of a configuration as far as I'm told. It wasn't
me administrating the box at the time. 

Now I just have another problem. one of the servers cant find the sites
that it contains. There is 100+ sites on the box. Trying to set the site
defaults or to add a site I get this  error:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was
unable to complete your request.
--

I tried to fix this with the scripts you gave me some links to and they
gave me this error:
