Hello scott

Do yourself a great favour install the pkg of phpmyadmin from solarspeed,
then you can log in & create databases etc... without telneting etc.

telnet? you mean you haven't installed SSH yet?

the MySQL problem sounds like you haven't set up the grant tables correctly.

there's a good windows .hlp file you can download with loads of tutorials
and examples for setting up users etc.
