Hi,
not sure on the exact solution, but you should be looking into PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules) as the RaQ uses these for logins, etc. If you can find a PAM to do this, then just drop it into the config, and away you go.
Start to get into PAM by looking in /etc/pam.d/
Thats where the various services work out how to authenticate, so you'd need to change the methods you wanted to authenticate via your new pam library. Do a few searches for a radius pam library, i'm sure i've seen one somewhere before!
