Okay. Here are the ways I use:
1. Tell them the IP address
2. Tell them the hostname of the system on which their site is
hosted
3. Have them temporarily use one of our DNS servers for all
resolution, which will be authoritative for their zones.
(Must allow queries from 0/0 to be sure all works normally for
them.)
None are perfect, but they'll help you out in a pinch. We've
used all of the above tactics, depending on the situation.
Note that one should regard those measures as temporary. There
is no permanent answer other than "just wait".
