My recollection is that either Outlook or Outlook Express or both
changes the appearance of the "From:" header on all mail it gets. But
then it would be there all the time, not just some of the time. Perhaps
it depends on the mail client some member is using to send to the list.

I must say that on all the lists I read, with either Netscape (3.1
through 7.0-pre-1) or Eudora (last three versions or so) I've never had
a problem replying to a majordomo list; if the list is set up for reply
to list, it works; if the list is set up for reply to user, it works.

Perhaps better answers might be found on the Majordomo users' list
available from "http://www.greatcircle.com/majordomo/";.
