Re: [cobalt-users] Bulk_mailer and Majorodomo

Jeff,

Thanks for the info. I have been using Google to search and never have found anyone using Bulk_mailer on a Raq. Since the Raq has slightly different configs it is hard to use the config from none raq machines. I am picking up the sendmail book from O'reilly today so I can understand the mail aliases better.

I will try the info you provide latter in the day and will report my (successful) findings to the list so this can be put in the achieves.

The only way to keep the GUI from over writing the configuration is to not use the GUI for majordomo (just telnet in and vi the changes and make backups incase somehow the Gui is used.). Thanks again for the help.

I just provided one I found on a RedHat webpage, in another response to
this thread. While I notice that the sample I posted is from a Red Hat
how-to on using Postfix, I don't see any reason why it won't work with
the RaQ sendmail installation.

What I don't know is how to keep the RaQ gui from overwriting
aliases.majordomo; that's one of the reasons why we've built our own
majordomo install, which uses aliases.majord
