No, what you asked was, "What unix command do you use to find the current
ownership and/or permissions a file or folder has?" That is NOT a
Cobalt-specific question, but a general un*x one. This question may have been
reasonable on a "learning unix" list, but does NOT belong on the cobalt-users
list...and even if it _were_ somehow valid, it is expected here that you do a
LITTLE research for yourself first. It is assumed that anyone on this list is
a professional, and a professional makes an attempt to answer simple
questions on his own. I agree with Colin; next time RTFM first.
Truth is, you got a whole lot LESS grief than what you deserved, and more
answers than warrented. B*tching about it now and trying to make _us_ feel
guilty because _you_ asked an inappropriate question without bothering to
research it yourself first will only get you listed on our twit lists. But if
you want to close down any hope of getting excellent solutions to _serious_
problems in the future, knock yourself out.
