Hi
I'm trying to get a little feed-back as to what temperature ranges other
RaQ3 systems normally operate in (at)? I have several RaQ3's at a data
center, some 2,000 miles away and I monitor their internal temp via MRTG.
Typically they all hover around 28-30 degrees Celsius, but yesterday
morning, the temp on one jumped to 41 degrees Celsius (average).
Occasionally it hit a ripe 45, but has more or less leveled off at around
41 degrees C. MRTG shows a 5-min load at about 5.0 (or .05 via uptime)
which is low, but slightly higher than normal starting at around noon
yesterday. The swap use is also low at around 1011.7 k.. Nothing out of
the ordinary from the logs, though I have been seeing messages like the one
below on and off for the last several weeks, and slightly more frequently
since yesterday (maybe a half dozen in the last 24 hours)..
can't get program name from /proc/25970/stat
The data center wants to charge a $100 just to pull the box to have a peak,
which I may have no other choice but to do. But does this sound like a fan
gone bad, or maybe a hard drive that's going south, nor either? I checked
the manuals and it states a normal operational environment of up to 40
degrees C, so I'm guessing it's okay where it's at for the time being. Any
ideas or suggestions from anyone?
Thanks in advance
