[cobalt-users] Installing libraries

I have recently installed webalizer, however it would appear that the
library that it is requesting is not available:

webalizer: error in loading shared libraries: libgd.so.1.8: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory

On my raq the newest library I have is libgd.so.1.2 , therefore I
presume I need to install this library. However it would appear that
this newer library is dependant on other libraries.

I would be grateful if someone can advise me how to install the library
(and any dependencies) , as I am relatively new to Linux. I then
presumably update all the symbolic links to this library.

Furthermore I believed that my Raq4 was up to date, have I missed a
patch ? That would install this library?
