We had a similar problem from one of our clients on an exchange server. It
was in a constant query cycle which ended up locking up our mail server. I
did reboot, as the last resort and that had no effect, they would just jump
back on again. I then killed their mail server on their site. Called them
and told them they where shut down till they corrected the problem. They
ended up rebooting.
