I don't have an answer for your DOS FTP session problem, but there is no
reason you have to be using DOS (unless you really want to of course!). Have
you checked out WS_FTP Pro for Windows? Options for passive transfer's, etc,
as standard. Very good client and you can use your own custom FTP scripts to
do your batch processing, etc...
