By what means were you upgrading - SSH in and doing a backup then a
flashwrite or via an OSRCD and what version of Rom were you trying to
update to.  I presume by what you have said that you have rebooted the
RaQ4i so did the update tell you the Rom had been flashed successfully.

To use a phrase of a colleague on another list but referring to the same
subject I suspect you have just made a boat anchor as the ROMs are now
part of the motherboard and not removable.

please supply more info and its possible that a solution could be found
- if you haven't rebooted/switched off then please don't or you will
have very little chance of recovery.
