Re: [cobalt-users] no patches are installed

According to the instructions, I'm supposed to compare the installed software on my Raq4r to the patches here http://sunsolve.sun.com/patches/cobalt/raq4.eng.html. It says to move your way up starting with the first patch that isn't listed as installed on the Raq.

In looking through all the patches, it appears that none came installed on my Raq4r. I just bought it a month ago. Shouldn't some of the patches have been installed before it was shipped to me? Does this mean I start at the very bottom and install every single one of them?

Just what is in the list under installed software?
You probably have a few and an update called a maintenance update.
Bruce listed a while back what that one covered.
If you don't have the maintenance update and you just bought it, it must be real old stock.

I was comparing the names and versions that I have listed under installed software directly to the list on the sun site. Here is the list I have. I see nothying named "maintenance update".

Relational Database Server and Client tools by InterBase. Release V6.0

Cobalt OS Release 6.0
RaQ4-en-Security Release 0.0.1-6453

phpMyAdmin Release 2.2.6
