Subject: [cobalt-users] Adding disk in Raq 550

I recently ordered a Raq 550 1.13ghz with a single 80GB drive. I wan't to
add a second 80GB drive for Raid 1 and asked the reseller what drive is used
in the Raq 550. I was told that they use Seagate Barracuda ATA IV disk for
the Raq 550. So far so good.

I ordered a 80GB Seagate drive at my local pc pusher and as I was paying the
$ he mumbles: "And btw you cant use the Seagate IV for Raid. That an
official Seagate statement." I was like ????

So a few questions:

1. Can anybody confirm that the Raq 550 uses Seagate drives?
2. Can anybody confirm that Seagate Barracuda IV cant be used for Raid?

I have not received the Raq yet so i can't check for myself.....

All the Product Specifications page in the User Manuaal says
is the the drives are Ultra ATA direct connect (cableless).
It says that the server is also compatable with ATA 33 and ATA
66 drives.
