as I said earlier, depends when you received the message, you may have a cron
job or a script running that is consuming memory

top, and a good analysis of the same is very good, problem is you have to be
viewing it during the problem. The log files are your best tool
Could there be something wrong?
Obviously, the RaQ should not crash (and how do you know the kernel crashed?)
