Phil, that's an interesting take on the situation.  <g>  I'm really just
trying to find a suitable solution quickly, preferably one that will not
involve me installing and testing several different programs under load only
to find that most aren't suitable.  I'm trying to keep costs down for the
client.  But getting back to what you said, is a Java plugin required for a
factory-fresh XP install?  I have several computers running XP, but they've
all had so many updates applied, I can't recall what they were like in their
virgin state.
