I'm not 100% on this but some where I thought I got the idea that the
maximum supported RAM configuration on a Raq3/4 was 512MB.
You might want to confirm this information before plunking down a wad of $$

It varies from user to user. Are you running a lot of scripts, do your
users run a lot of scripts? If so the 1gb might make a difference over
512mb.
