AW: [cobalt-users] RaQ4: New Majordomo lists return error 550, old ones work

Hello!

I have the same problem. First I thought something with the MX entries
was wrong. After I double checked them I tested one of the old mailing
lists. But they also didn?t work anymore.

Finally I saw that majordomo isn't even running anymore although I never
did anything else that updating the cobalt with the packages by
cobalt.com and pgkmaster.com. There must be a bug in on of these
packages, because my majordomo.cf is also missing in /etc

The GUI is still creating the folders in /usr/local/majordomo but
majordomo is not running.

How is it supposed to run? Should there be a entry in /etc/rc.d/init.d ?

If someone could send me a copy of his unmodified majordomo.cf for a
raq4i I would really appreciate that.

Thanks for you help

Best regards

Does the Raq know these domains are local? If not, it will send the
email to the secondary MX machine, which, depending on how it's
configured, may report the user as unknown.

What happens when you try to use telnet to connect to your port 25 and
send email to the testlist address manually (see the archives for
specific exactly how to do it)?

Are there entries for testlist in /etc/mail/aliases.majordomo?

Is there an entry in /etc/mail/local-host-names for the domain name?

I'd like to see those entries to be sure <smile>.
