For those of us who like to keep a changelog of what you've done to
the system, when and why (such as the ones who reflexively re-install
from read-only media after being compromised, i.e.: all of us), you
should copy off the .pkg files somewhere. For those of us who use
the command line installer, COPY THE .PKG FILE *BEFORE* installing.
The installation deletes the pkg file for some reason only known
to <censored>.
