Hi Group,
Does anyone know if the stock DNS system on a RaQ3
with all the patches can support TSIG..? I know that
BIND 8.9.3 supports TSIG, which is the version running
on the RaQ3's; but I wasn't sure if the Cobalt flavor
of DNS supported it or not..? I'm running a master
(BIND 9.2.1) DNS server, and wanted to use my RaQ3 as
my it's slave and use a TSIG key between the two to
auth transfers.. Does anyone know if the RaQ3 can
handle TSIG with it's current setup and/or what
changes I'd need to make to the named.conf file if
it's possible..?
If it does, I'd just need to add the following line to
named.conf and make sure that the time on both boxes
are in sync, correct?
key "key" {
algorithm hmac-md5;
secret "long-key-goes-here";
};
It's that MD5 algorithm that has me concerned on the
RaQ3..
Thanks for any input or help..
