Actually, my telling him to open a shell session was part of this thread,
and he snipped all but the relevant parts in his reply, which I think is
actually correct. :)

That's actually due to some undocumented changes in the Sausalito stuff
from 6.2 to 6.4, which broke the installers. A new Developers Guide is
being finalized that discusses the changes.
