"Connection refused" is a temporary error; your sendmail continues to
try for (in this case) five days.

If the recipient mailserver were refusing the email because of an
address problem or an origination problem, it usually would be a
permanent error; sendmail would normally have returned the mail to you
as undeliverable almost immediately.

Unfortunately there can be lots of reasons why a connection is refused. 
You should try to get the help of the postmaster at the address that's
refusing your email to help you learn why.
