Hi Yah,
General question regarding on off our collocated RAQ3's
In the GUI it shows the server time (system time) as being:-
Region - North America
Country - Canada
Locale/Zone - Mountain Standard
NPT Server - clock.isc.org
Now since we last rebooted (one of the Cobalt updates) I've noticed that
the "hardware" time is 6 hours in front of the system time. In Webmin it
shows two times hardware and system.
Questions are...
1. What should take precedence system time or hardware time it's just so I
can sync both of them together. Sever is collocated in the States
2. In the GUI if I wanted to can I set the GUI time to our local New
Zealand time then sync the hardware time to that.
Reason for no.2 is that when logfiles come through it shows the email as
system time but cron.daily etc work off "hardware time" and converting
logfile times etctera back to NZ time is getting to be a pain in the butt.
Regards
Chae
