[cobalt-users] stop popper request for stronger authentication

As far as I can tell I have two users who are somehow out of sync with
how their account are configured according to the web interface.

The signs of this are that they get error if they try to download mail
from the pop server.

May 22 21:27:46 war-admiral in.qpopper[7943]: smith1 at 218.23.128.194 (218.23.128.194): -ERR [AUTH] You must use stronger authentication such as AUTH SCRAM-MD5 or APOP to connect to this server

May 22 14:09:36 war-admiral in.qpopper[19895]: smith2 at 178.175.242.112 (178.175.242.112): -ERR POP EOF or I/O Error: 29 (Illegal seek); 0 (Success)

At first I thought I has either checked require apop, or otherwise
misconfigured their accounts. I didn't. I tried to diagnose by
telneting in on port 110 and couldn't get beyone the 'user' command to
qpopper.

So where are the settings for an individuals account actually being
kept. Obviously the web interface is not allowing full access or it is
possible for an individual to create a file somewhere and then unable
to deleter either through their email or some other way.

1. Does anyone know how to query the database to see if it gels with
the data displayed bye the web interface?

2. Does anyone know which files might erroneously exist or have the
incorrect settings. I assume they need to be files for the indvidual
accounts not system files, since only two accounts are so screwed?

3. If I deleted them and recreated things; does that fix it?

I searched the archives quite thoroughly and never saw an answer that
quite gels with what I am experiencing.
