Does anyone know what the proper set-up on a RAQ4r would be if one wanted to
get email from somewhere else? The customer wants an unbelievable number of
email addresses, and while he will be hosting with us, he wants the Cnames
and such changed so the mail is through a different service (but still reads
as his domain name).
Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions or help! :)

Mike - Don't use CNames.
Set up an A record named 'mail.domainnamehere.com' with the IP address of his external service (Exchange server, etc).
Point his MX record to 'mail.domainnamehere.com'.
Remove the 'Email Server' entry from the virtual site settings page, and you're done.
