Because, in case you haven't been following developments (for the last three
years) Apple today is THE WORLDS LARGEST PROVIDER OF UNIX OPERATING SYSTEMS
and if you use *nix, that's pretty hard to ignore.

True, but they are fantastic all purpose machines.  Are you one of those
Computarded Folks who keeps saying that "IBM compatibles" are much "better
for business"?

For the same reason you have a Raq and a Cube, not everone looks at a box
(or raq or cube) and sees the same purpose.  One of them allows remote
administration through the built into OS X 10.1.4 Remote Desktop.  You could
remove them all and save 100 bucks (see my previous about custom build to
shipping).

Ummmmm. . . .  Have you ever streamed video before?  Some of us would prefer
to run QT streaming server on the most highly adapted platform to doing so.
