The 2.4 kernel for RaQ3/4 was something begged for by the field, but
internal resources to develop and QA just haven't materialized...
Sun policy is to support EOL hardware for 5 years from the date of EOL.
Cobalt has always made security-related patches available for our
products for free, even after EOL.
If anyone promised you anything besides periodic OS Updates (version
revisions, etc) and security patches, I'm afraid you were lied to.
