Is there a reason you didn't unsubscribe him altogether Erica? The
"nomail" option you describe isn't working apparently, since we're all
seeing endless repetitions of the same even today.

If you unsubscribed him he couldn't "send" (sorry, "autorespond") to the
list, and upon his return -we assume he's away- just would have to
resubscribe.

Just a thought....I ask the question only because the nonsense is
continuing and it surely is distracting to everyone and is also sparking
continual side notes by all.

In sort this is becoming silly...you have the answer, you could perhaps
just temporarily kick him off the list. I'm not suggesting that you
permanently ban him or anything strong-armed like that, simply act to
stop the noise until further notice?
