My experiences (RaQ3, RaQ4) have shown that you don't lose mailboxes
when you change the domain name.
However I heartily suggest you try it yourself; set up a sample domain
or two to test; they can be subdomains of one of your registered domains
so you don't have to spend any money at your local dot-com registrar.
