So how should I best do this then? Simply change the domain name
through the GUI (and perhaps lose all mailboxes) ?

Hi, I have personal experience less than one week old that shows that on a RaQ2, changing a domain's name through the gui will _not_ erase the mailboxes. I recommend making the change through the GUI, make sure your DNS entries are updated properly, then double check the virtusertable by hand to make sure that any and all mailing lists and majordomo addresses were changed correctly. Those mailing list entries were the only ones I had that didn't change automatically. If you do have to edit the /etc/virtusertable, remember to hash it when you're through.

see ya,
