Hello List -
Hope someone can help me figure this one out - I've
seen various posts in the list archives about changing
the default email addresses "user@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" on
the RaQ3. However, all of a sudden, I've got some
users on virtual hosts who are getting emails, but
their email address seems to be turned into
"username@www.[our main domain/machine name]. ...
They users ARE getting the emails in their inbox, but
intead of being "username@virtualhostclient#3.com", it
says "username@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx".
We are setup this way:
Cobalt RaQ3, hosted with an ISP
No DNS services - we are using the ISP's DNS services,
and all (A) and (MX) records are on the ISP's DNS
servers, pointing to the virtual IP address for the
customers' sites.
All customer's domain names are pointed to our ISP's
DNS in the "WhoIS?" database.
Any suggestions as to why this is starting to happen?
For example - my client placed an order with an online
catalog, and when she got her email confirmation, her
email address said "user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
instead of "mike@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx", etc.???
All help/suggestions would be appreciated.
PS - BTW, in case it wasn't obvious, the main IP on
our Cobalt is my Hosting Company,
www.hppchristianhosting.com. In my "network"
settings, the "host" is www and the "domain" is
hppchristianhosting.com.
Thanks,
Fred F. McKinnon
