Quick question, hoping for a simple answer. I have looked through the
archives, but not sure if I came across anything that will help me out.
I bought my RaQ with the intent of hosting my own web site, and a few
others, and getting away from my current host. Not that my current host is
doing anything wrong, they have done a great job over the past few years.
It's just that I have the facilities and am looking to go it alone.
The problem I have is moving the site from the host RaQ to my RaQ. I don't
have telnet access to .tar the site, bit I can do a backup from the
siteadmin interface to my desktop.
I created a new name based virtual site, using the same username/password
and login to the new site on my raq. When I try to do a restore, it won't
let me do it, saying no files selected.
I know I can ftp the entire site up to the new raq and spend hours setting
the permissions and testing and fixing, but I'm really looking for a faster
way.
I guess the question would be, when moving an entire site from one host to
another host, how can this be done while still preserving all the settings.
