ETRN stands for E turn or return..
It is used to tell a sendmail server to flush the queue for the domain
following the ETRN.. This is most useful in the days where people had
mail servers behind dialup lines. Upon dialing up, the mail server
would call the relay and request the queue for it's domain be sent down
now by issuing an ETRN <domainname>..
It looks like the person who controls metter.org was testing to see
which host.domainname combination would work.. BTW, usual it is just
the base domain (in this case metter.org..
