Yes I have and had problems. Cobalt posted an addendum on the download
page AFTER I had downloaded and installed. This addendum now states that
the patch updates to PHP4.06.-C4 and overwrites other changes. The
result for me was that PHP pages came up with errors.
After much searching I did find a page at http://support.sun.com where
Jason from Sun says that doing it destroys some symbolic links and will
cause PHP and Apache not to work !!! The fix is to telnet in and
ln -s /usr/lib/libgd.so.1.8 /usr/lib/libgd.so.1
then reboot
This I have done and all appears to be running again but I am not sure
where this leave me with the version of PHP I have :-(
So don't do it.
