| I've received notification this evening of the upgrade for RaQ4 factory
| installed PHP.
|
| Now I've already upgraded my PHP using the pkg from pkgmaster.com, does
any
| one yet know of any incompatibilities if this official SUN release is
| installed alongside/over the top of the pkgmaster installation? I like to
| keep up to date with my patch installations, but would hate for this
| particular one to go wrong as a result of the pkgmaster pkg.
|
| Anyone done just that yet?

I just opened up the package and as far as I can see all this does is
install php4.06.
The only difference I can find is in the interbase.so file, and I am not
sure what that difference is yet.
However I believe that is not relevant.
So , again if you have php version later than 4.06 already installed . Do
not install this one as it will overwrite your upgrade.
This package is only if you have the original version, that came with the
RAQ4.
Even then I would not install this one and would suggest the pkgmaster
version.
If the pkgmaster version is not suitable for your purposes. I have installed
PHP4.012 on a RAQ4 and amongst other things enabled gif support with gd2 and
curl.
If anyone needs help on that, let me know offlist.
