I wanted to install a chat server or a bouncer/tunner on my RAQ4.
I would use Windows (mIRC)'s settings with the info of:

Local Host: bla bla bla
IP Address: xxx.xx.xx.x
Identd: Enable / Disable etc...

I wanted to hide my 'home' IP and use my raq's IP or actual DOMAIN.
Like www.mydomain.com. I am not sure if that's what you wanted to know.

Here are couple of links for servers, bouncers and such:

BNC (BouNCe) Datapipe - http://bnc.ircadmin.net/
http://tunnel.be.wanadoo.com/cgi-bin/tb.cgi (IPv6)
http://www.freenet6.net/
http://hs247.com/
http://home.c2i.net/fskarboe/

Hope this helps...
Let me know off-list how things go... with your chat server(s).
