I have installed both the first and second releases and one of my client
sites installed one of the releases themselves.
In each case the install was successful.
I had a minor problem on my first attempt with the Qube reporting that it
couldn't verify the package. I tried the same package from a different
machine and it was fine. No idea why the first machine had a problem.
I have stopped doing any more updates as I have subsequently discovered that
OS Update 6.4 has broken one of my 3rd party products. FileMaker Server is
still operational but a backup client I'm trialing now refuses to start.

Since I have multiple Qubes to maintain I never install directly with
BlueLinQ. I use BlueLinQ to tell me what needs to be installed, I download
the package manually, and then install it manually.
You could try installing your downloaded package from a different machine.
You could try unpacking the package manually to see if it was damaged in
transit.
