Although not a direct solution, some time back I put together a laptop
mp3 player for my car, so a lot of the packages, methods may apply when
you do this to a raq.
Go to http://ineedlinux.info/ and choose MP3 Jukebox.
In terms of LCD and buttons, that is quite easy, take a look in /sbin/
and you'll find:
lcd-swrite
lcd-write
readbutton
All handy binaries that cobalt uses to control/use the LCD. Also take a
look in /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions for info on how to call the LCD
packages.
Hope that gets you started, and that's a good idea for a raq!
