As far as the "less proprietary" it's already been publicly announced
that Sun will be selling a line of "general purpose" 1U Linux servers,
and that they will be available "later this summer." These will be true
generic Linux boxes, with no appliance payload at all, similar to what
you can get from Compaq, Dell, IBM, etc. (both hardware-wise and
cost-wise)...
As far as the "new line" goes, we are _always_ working on the next
generations of both the RaQ and Qube lines... the "new" Qube 3+ was
announced and launched last month... so, if I were a betting person, I'd
think that a new RaQ would be coming sometime in the not-too-distant
future...
And that's _all_ I can/will say... :)
