20A * 120V = 2400VA = ???? Watts
You assumed a power factor of 1.00 -- which is true when voltage
and current are in phase, which is probably not the case.
Watts = VA * pf

Assuming that the actual current draw is 1A. Chances are that
it's less.
Look at your home breaker box -- chances are that you have a
100A, 150A, or 200A main, but your individual breakers total a
number much higher. Sort of the same idea.
To the OP: Does your colo provide battery backup? If not, you
should probably hook up your own 2400VA UPS... when it complains
about overload, you know that you have too much connected. :-)
Note also that current draw is highest when powering up
equipment.
